Press Release: HBN calls for revoking of lease and license renewals in Liverpool and Port Mouton

HEALTHY BAYS NETWORK (HBN) CALLS FOR REVOKING OF THE APPROVED RENEWALS OF LEASE & LICENSES FOR OPEN-NET PEN FINFISH FARMS IN LIVERPOOL BAY AND PORT MOUTON BAY DUE TO DFA's OMISSION OF SELECT PUBLIC SUBMISSION LETTERS FROM THE COMMUNITY.

"The DFA has committed to open and transparent engagement processes. The dismissal of legitimate public concern is definitely not okay. If they ever want to establish public trust, they should toss these decisions and do this again properly." (Quote from Simon Ryder-Burbidge of the Ecology Action Centre)

The Healthy Bays Network, consists of the St. Mary's Bay Protectors, Protect Liverpool Bay, the Twin Bays Coalition, and the Association for the Preservation of the Eastern Shore, with support from the Ecology Action Centre, the Atlantic Salmon Federation, and the Nova Scotia Salmon Association.
