On Friday, after a one-week delay, the Nova Scotia Aquaculture Review Board (NSARB) finally released its first ever salmon farming decision, electing to approve the expansion of Cooke’s Rattling Beach site in the Annapolis Basin.

We’ve organized a virtual media briefing to break down the decision, the NSARB process, and what it means for the future of huge industry expansion plans in Nova Scotia. We'll hear from HBN coastal community groups on the front lines of those expansion plans, and from our colleagues at Ecojustice and the Atlantic Salmon Federation, both of whom participated in the Rattling Beach ARB hearing.
