Green Party’s policy: “By 2025, move all open net-pen finfish aquaculture facilities into closed containment systems on land”.
As part of the Global Climate Strike this past Friday, PLB was excited that South Shore-St.Margaret's candidate, Thomas Trappenberg chose Queens County, Liverpool, NS to give his message - Green Party - "Against Open Pen Fish Farms". Thanks to all who showed up for this important event, it was incredibly motivating to hear such an optimistic vision for a sustainable healthy ocean. We have momentum and Protect Liverpool Bay will keep the fight going strong. When all federal and provincial groups step up, we can all work together for a pristine ocean free of fin fish farms.
