Cermaq: Japanese owned, Norwegian operated, wants to put 20 point sources of pollution in NS waters

Cermaq scopes locations for 15-20 salmon farm sites across various regions of NS including the South Shore's Mahone Bay and St. Margarets Bay. "Each site discharges untreated plumes of waste into public and indiginous waters."

"Get involved. @protectliverpoolbay in Nova Scotia is trying to prevent another operator, Cooke Aquaculture, from expanding it's cage operations from 14 to 60 pens (3 sites) in Liverpool Bay. It's because of citizen groups like this and those growing throughout eastern Canada that public awareness of the impacts these operations have is growing. Make a difference in life. For the future." - Protect Our Shorelines
