After a one-week delay, the Nova Scotia Aquaculture Review Board (NSARB) has released its first ever salmon farming decision, electing to approve the expansion of Cooke’s Rattling Beach site in the Annapolis Basin.
From Ecology Action Centre:
"With our partners at Ecojustice and the Healthy Bays Network, we’re hosting an online media briefing to break down the decision, the NSARB process, and what it means for the future of huge industry expansion plans in Mi'kma'ki/Nova Scotia.
Join us Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 11 a.m. AST live from the EAC Facebook page to hear from the coastal communities working to protect our bays!"
If you want to join the briefing via Zoom instead of Facebook please contact Simon Ryder-Burbridge to register for the zoom link: sryderburbidge@ecologyaction.ca
