"Once the darling child of salmon farming in Atlantic Canada, New Brunswick-based Cooke Seafood is facing claims of animal cruelty after a hidden camera video surfaced online showing live fish being stomped and smashed against steel beams, fish suffering from fungal infections and spinal deformities and fish improperly anesthetized prior to being vaccinated. The video was filmed and produced by animal rights group, "Compassion over Killing"."
